Let's try something new! We'll meet approximately every other Sunday (dates below) at 6pm Central time for guided meditation. You wear whatever you like, I'll likely be in my pajamas.
Meditation in community (sangha) is one of my joys. Why not try to create an online meditation sangha for people with all levels of meditation experience? We'll come together and share the space. Meditation is a subtle, energetic practice that can span time, space, and the internet in powerful ways your rational mind may not be able to grasp. If you haven't done it before, give it a try!
Here's How It Works:
No previous meditation experience is necessary. All levels of meditators are welcome.
This is a guided meditation (also called yoga nidra or "yogic sleep") so all you'll need to do is:
• pay for your session below,
• check your email for the Zoom link or dial-in number I’ll send you the day of class,
• click on the link or dial in on your phone a few minutes before 6pm central time,
• be sure you can hear my voice,
• find a seated or prone (savasana) position that will be comfortable for 30-45 minutes,
• keep a blanket or pillow nearby so you can stay warm and comfortable.
At the end, feel free to click "leave meeting" or hang up OR stick around if you have any comments or questions. I'll unmute everyone so we can all hear each other.
Please pay--using the Paypal buttons below--at least 15 minutes before the session starts. I'll then receive your payment and email you the Zoom link to join our session.

We'll be using Zoom, a meeting site/app, that I have found to be easy, stable, and accessible. I tested it on my mother so i know it passes the "mom test!"

Click “open zoom.us" A Zoom screen will open with another pop-up giving you a choice between connecting by computer or phone call.
If you click “computer audio” you’ll join the meeting online.
If you click on "phone call" you'll see a phone numberto call (plus the meeting ID and participant ID).)

Our bodies and minds can barely keep up with the demands of modern life and its rapid pace. Physical tension leads to tight muscles, decreased immunity, insomnia, high blood pressure and other health conditions prevalent today. Mental tension makes us feel restless, worried, anxious and unable to realize our creative potential. Sleep is not the same thing as relaxation and other activities we think of as "relaxation" are simply diversions of our attention.
The ancient yogis developed yoga nidra ("yogic sleep" in Sanskrit), as a method of achieving deep and complete relaxation while maintaining consciousness. Yoga Nidra is said to be 4 times more healing and restful than sleep itself.
Yoga nidra has made such a deep impact on my life, especially in times of emotional upheaval, that I want to share it with as many people as possible. The more you do it, the more it works. It's so easy. There's no advance study required. Just be there and be present. During a session, all you need to do is wear comfortable clothing, lie down, be at ease and listen as you are guided through systematic relaxation and visualization techniques.
