Live yoga nidra (guided meditation) sessions you can access by phone, computer or tablet! These are not recorded sessions, they're done in real time. No apps to download or special equipment necessary.
Everyone from never-ever meditators to experienced practitioners feel the effects of deep meditation when guided remotely. Some people report more profound experiences because they're more comfortable practicing at home.
Wear whatever you like, meditate wherever you like! No need to travel or park. No need even to be in Chicago to practice with me. We have meditators from all over the country in each session.
Meditation in community (sangha) is one of my joys. I usually start with some opening words, a reading, or a prayer. You'll get comfortable, follow my voice, and relax deeply. I'll guide you back to a conscious state and chant a closing prayer. You'll feel like it took 5 minutes and wonder how time stopped!

Here's How It Works:
No previous meditation experience is necessary. All levels of meditators are welcome. You'll be guided into a series of visualizations and breathwork in order to reach a state of deep relaxarion. This state, the state of yoga nidra, enhances our immune systems, our ability to handle physical and emotional discomfort, our intuition, our creative thinking, our sense of connectedness, our spiritual discovery, and our ability to sleep deeply.
This is a LIVE guided meditation.
All you'll need to do is:
• pay for your session below,
• check your email for the Zoom link or dial-in number I’ll send you the day of class,
• click on the link or dial in on your phone a few minutes before 6pm central time,
• find a seated or prone (savasana) position that will be comfortable for 30-45 minutes,
• keep a blanket or pillow nearby so you can stay warm and comfortable.
At the end, feel free to click "leave meeting" OR hang up OR stick around if you have any comments or questions. I'm also available for questions, comments, and feedback by email.

Our bodies and minds can barely keep up with the demands of modern life and its rapid pace. Physical tension leads to tight muscles, decreased immunity, insomnia, high blood pressure and other health conditions prevalent today. Mental tension makes us feel restless, worried, anxious and unable to realize our creative potential. Sleep is not the same thing as relaxation and other activities we think of as "relaxation" are simply diversions of our attention.
The ancient yogis developed yoga nidra ("yogic sleep" in Sanskrit), as a method of achieving deep and complete relaxation while maintaining consciousness. Yoga Nidra is said to be 4 times more healing and restful than sleep itself.
Yoga nidra has made such a deep impact on my life, especially in times of emotional upheaval, that I want to share it with as many people as possible. The more you do it, the more it works. It's so easy. There's no advance study required. Just be there and be present. During a session, all you need to do is wear comfortable clothing, lie down, be at ease and listen as you are guided through systematic relaxation and visualization techniques.
